About Conundrum Hot Springs

Editor's note. Conundrum is a backcountry spring at roughly 11,200 feet in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness near Aspen. The trail is about 8.5 miles each way with real elevation gain, so most people camp overnight, and camping there requires a wilderness permit booked in advance. Weather changes fast at this altitude, even in summer.
